Why we made it

Winter hands. Cracked knuckles, a split thumb that catches on every sweater. Lotion would sink in and be gone in ten minutes. The balms that lasted were so hard you had to warm the tin on a radiator first.

So we started whipping shea and cocoa butter with a little sunflower oil, the way you'd whip cream — long enough that air gets folded in and it stays soft. It took a lot of batches to get one that held its shape in the tin but still scooped easily.

That's the whole product. One tin, three scents — one of them with nothing added at all, because plenty of people don't want fragrance.

We won't tell you it fixes skin conditions or turns back the clock. It's a rich butter for dry hands, elbows and heels. That's what it's for.
